Terms of Service

Last updated: March 4, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Blazebar macOS application (the “App”), the website located at https://blazebar.com (the “Website”), and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Blazebar (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using Blazebar, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Blazebar, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. License Grant

Blazebar is licensed, not sold, to you.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded macOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business use.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or distribute the App
  • Use the App to develop a competing product
  • Remove or alter proprietary notices

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3. Description of the Service

Blazebar is a macOS productivity tool that allows users to:

  • Invoke an AI prompt interface system-wide via keyboard shortcut
  • Process selected text through third-party large language models (LLMs)
  • Replace editable selected text with AI-generated output
  • Copy AI outputs to the clipboard

Blazebar does not provide its own AI model. Users must supply their own API keys for supported third-party AI providers.

Blazebar operates locally on your device and does not store your prompts, selected text, or AI outputs on our servers.

4. Third-Party AI Services

Blazebar integrates with third-party AI providers, including but not limited to:

  • https://openrouter.ai/

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You must obtain and maintain valid API keys.
  • API keys are stored locally in macOS Keychain.
  • Selected text and prompts are transmitted directly from your device to the AI provider you configure.
  • We do not intercept, store, review, or control that data.
  • You are responsible for all charges incurred through third-party providers.
  • Changes to third-party APIs may affect App functionality.

Your use of third-party services is governed solely by their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, legality, accuracy, or output of third-party AI services.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • All prompts, text, and content processed through the App
  • Ensuring you have the legal right to process selected text
  • Compliance with confidentiality, employment, and data protection obligations
  • Verifying AI-generated output before using or publishing it
  • Maintaining the security of your API keys
  • Backing up your own data

Blazebar processes selected text only at your direction.

6. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated responses are produced by third-party systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate.

You acknowledge that:

  • We do not review or validate AI outputs.
  • AI output is generated automatically.
  • You use AI-generated content at your own risk.

Blazebar does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

7. Privacy and Data Handling

Your privacy is important to us.

Blazebar is designed to minimize data collection:

  • API keys are stored securely in macOS Keychain.
  • Prompts, selected text, and outputs are not stored by us.
  • Data is transmitted directly to your configured AI provider.
  • We do not sell personal data.

Website usage data and purchase information are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. The Website uses Google Analytics and PostHog to help us understand how visitors use the Website.

The App also uses TelemetryDeck for limited product analytics. Those analytics are designed to measure high-level app usage and operational events, not the contents of what you send to AI providers. We do not send your prompt text, selected text, AI outputs, replacement text, saved command text, or API keys to TelemetryDeck.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (https://lemonsqueezy.com), which acts as Merchant of Record and processes billing information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

For full details on data processing, international transfers, retention, and your legal rights, please review our Privacy Policy at:
